The Opportunity – QA Engineer:
We seek innovative individuals to join our Platform Engineering team, contributing to the development of Software Solutions that ensure seamless operation of Acropolis OS across diverse Hardware Platforms. The ideal candidate should possess strong programming and automation skills, with a proven history of crafting automated qualification frameworks, libraries, and test suites. This role focuses on designing and testing features related to the Management, Diagnostics, and Monitoring of Data Center Hardware, encompassing Servers, Storage Appliances, etc. It offers a distinctive chance to engage with all layers of the product, emphasizing compatibility and interoperability in areas such as Storage & Compute Hardware, Firmware (BIOS, BMC), Drivers, and Software (Operating Systems, Hypervisors, and Management plane, Life cycle management).
Your role:
Engage in the qualification and delivery of platform software and solutions without vendor bias. Contribute to design reviews, create feature test plans, and implement automation. Lead bug triages and debugging for both software and hardware, guiding development teams to deliver fixes.
Your qualifications should include:
1. Practical expertise in crafting and managing automation frameworks.
2. Proficient in creating functional and system test plans, with the ability to automate them.
3. Strong programming and debugging skills, preferably in Python.
4. Sound understanding and application of design patterns.
5. Familiarity with building and maintaining CI/CD infrastructure.
6. Good comprehension of modern x86 Server Architectures, Storage, networking technologies, Operating Systems, and Virtualization.
7. 3 to 6 years of experience in a similar role within a product company.
